The Pointe at Kirby Gate complies with applicable federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate, exclude people, or treat them differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics), or on the basis of religion or familial status under the Fair Housing Act.
The Pointe at Kirby Gate provides, free of charge:
- Reasonable modifications and appropriate auxiliary aids and services to people with disabilities, such as qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats)
- Language assistance services to people whose primary language is not English, such as qualified interpreters and information written in other languages

How to File a Grievance
If you believe The Pointe at Kirby Gate has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, you can file a grievance with our Section 1557 Coordinator:

You can file a grievance in person, by mail, by phone, or by email. If you need help filing a grievance, the Section 1557 Coordinator is available to help you.
You can also file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, electronically through the Office for Civil Rights Complaint Portal at ocrportal.hhs.gov, or by mail or phone at: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 200 Independence Avenue SW, Room 509F, HHH Building, Washington, D.C. 20201; 1-800-368-1019, 800-537-7697 (TDD). Complaint forms are available at hhs.gov/ocr/complaints.
Housing discrimination complaints may also be filed with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at 1-800-669-9777 or the Tennessee Human Rights Commission at 1-800-251-3589.
